A long time ago, moved by greed the brothers Sunna and Máni stole the sun and the moon for themselves, thinking that they could take control of the nine worlds and reign over a new world of darkness. Desperate, Odin asked for the help of the wolves Skoll and Hati, promising them to fulfill all their wishes. Accepting Odin's offer, the wolves defeat the traitors, putting an end to the great eclipse and bringing the light back to the world. Odin sent the two traitorous brothers to the kingdom of Hellhaeim, and then, with the help of ancient Vanir magic, breaks the agreement with the wolves, condemning them to live as guardians of the sun and the moon, in order to prevent the event from happening again in the future. Now, with their freedom stolen, Skoll and Hati live apart in total solitude, looking forward to the day when the empire of the gods collapses, when they will met again and get their revenge and their freedome back. The day of Ragnarok.
